JAMMU, Nov 1: J&K Handicapped Welfare Association has decided to celebrate the World Disabled Day as black day in Jammu and Srinagar.
This was stated by Abdul Tashid Bhat, President, JKHA, RC Sharma, Vice President, JKHWA and Charan Dass from JKHWA during a joint press conference here today.
They stated that the Government is not paying any heed towards the genuine demands of the disabled persons for which they are struggling since long.
“It is a matter of concern that not even a single demand of disabled persons has been redressed by the Government till date despite submission of memorandums various times”, they added.
“We will start state-wide agitation, if the Government failed to redress our genuine demands at the earliest”, they warned.
