SRINAGAR, Jan 18: J&K Handicapped Association (JKHA) here today in collaboration with Enable India and Benetech, launched digital literacy programme at Chinar Kashmir’s campus in Khanpora Budgam to provide computer training to visually impaired children for 15 days.
During the event, laptops and accessories were distributed to the children to support their learning journey.
The stakeholders emphasized the importance of digital literacy in enhancing accessibility and opportunities for visually impaired individuals.
The programme was attended by prominent figures including Abdul Rashid Bhat, president JKHCA, Wali Mohammad Malik, Director, Chinar Kashmir Home, Humayoun Kaysir, former Director, Radio Kashmir Srinagar, Javid Parsa, CEO, Parsa Foods, Ashiq Ahmad, VMS Bemina, Akhtar Ahmad Khan, Braille Quran Instructor, Numania Banihal, Feroz Ahmad Khan and member Child Welfare Committee Budgam.
Malik from Chinar Kashmir highlighted the pivotal role of accessibility and education in Kashmir.
The event concluded with remarks by Abdul Rashid Bhat, who commended the collaboration and reiterated JKHCA’s commitment to empowering differently-abled children through education and technology.
