JKGPA holds meet to discuss grievances’ of Pharmacists

JAMMU, Jan 20: To discuss the grievances’ of Pharmacist, a meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association (JKGPA) Jammu was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan president JKMEF and Member Pharmacy Council of India and Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, President JKGPA.
During the meeting, various issues concerning the pharmacist community were discussed. The members raised their demands included to the change of Nomenclature of Pharmacist to Pharmacy Officer.
The association demands that one post of Technical officer Pharmacy should be created at all District Hospital and Sub District Hospitals to meet justice with Pharmacist of Health Department.
Filling of vacant post of pharmacists, which are lying vacant in different institutions in UT, demand for regulation of Diploma and Degree in Pharmacy by Jammu Kashmir Pharmacy Council for the best interest of students and profession of Pharmacy, Creation of Post of Block Pharmacy Officer, District Pharmacy Officer and Senior Pharmacist Post should be created at PHC and CHC level.
The members also demanded for the restoration of RMP registration to meet the justice with retired Pharmacists.
Among others who attended the meeting included Surjeet Rajan, Naresh Sharma, Pawan Kumar , Shiv Kumar, Bahadur Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Madan Lal Sharma, Sanjay Choudhary , Vikas Sabarwal, Subash Chander, Yash Paul, Rajinder Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Krishan Lal, Ajeet Singh, Shashi Malhotra and Vinod Kumar.
