JAMMU, Jan 19: J&K Central Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (JKCNGEEU) observed its 27th Foundation Day today. On the occasion the Union launched its website (www.jkcngeeu.org).
Stating this at a press conference here today Parshotam Sharma State general secretary of the Union said that in the national trade union history JKCNGEEU has completed 27 years of its existence in the state.
Mr Sharma, while highlighting the demands expressed grave concern over the shortage of staff in PDD and PDC saying that it has been the main cause of problems. He stressed on strengthening the system.
He said that his organization is for betterment of the department and it will render all cooperation to Government in this regard.
Highlighting the demands he stressed on reorganization of PDD as per present requirement and creation of new posts of linemen, SBA, telephone operators and executive as well as ministerial staff, implementation of the Cabinet Decision No 154/23/2012 dated 30-08-2012, Government order No 231 and 265 PDD of 2012 and Government order no 285/PDD of 2012 at an earliest.
He also demanded issuance of district wise seniority lists of all daily wagers in PDD and PDC who have been engaged w.e.f from April 1, 1994, all the power houses with NHPC should be returned to the State, release of pending arrears of already regularized daily wagers under SRO 64 before March 31, 1994 and they be given retrospective effect of their regularization and publishing of annual report on Welfare Fund order No 77.
The other leaders of the Union who were present in the press conference included Ajay Raina, State Secretary, Jammu, Vilayat Ali state secretary, Ladkah, Noor Hussian State organisor Jammu, Mohammed Aslam Choudhary provincial president.
