JAMMU, Nov 19: A one day conference on the life and contribution of veteran artist, Late Triloke Kaul was organized here today by J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu, in collaboration with Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu.
Umesh Sharma, Deputy Secretary, School Education, Government of J&K was chief guest whereas veteran artist Gokel Dembi was guest of honour and Pt. Kewal K Sharma, president JKCCA was special guest.
Veena Kaul, daughter of Triloke Kaul, Dr. Lalit Gupta, Art Historian, Jang S. Verman, Senior Advisor, JKCCA, Radhey Sham and Vimal Mangotra (Advisors), staff and students of IMFA were also present in the programme.
A brochure on the life and contributions of Triloke Kaul was also released on this occasion.
O.P Sharma, Director, JKCCA delivered the welcome address.
An elaborate presentation was given by Dr. Lalit Gupta on the developments of the art scenario of J&K and the rise of the modern art movement here.
A slide show, with pictures and images of art works by Triloke Kaul, was a part of the presentation by Dr. Lalit Gupta.
The chief guest, Umesh Sharma shared his views on the scenario of art and art works executed by various artists in various temples of Jammu region.
Kewal K Sharma, president JKCCA said that the new generation should get inspiration from the masters of art who lived on this land.
Veteran artist, Gokel Dembi also presented his tributes to Triloke Kaul.
