JAMMU, Sept 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association elected its office-bearers in a general body meeting held at Chack Lal Din near Gho-Manhassan.
The meeting unanimously elected Ex-MLA, Sat Paul Lakhotra and Mela Ram Tugga as president and general secretary of the Association, respectively.
The other office bearers of the Association included Om Parkash Tugga as Election Commissioner; Kamal Chand Motan, Gunni Ram Kaith and Mohan Lal Motan as Deputy Chairpersons; Baldev Chand Sandhu, Des Raj Kaith and Dilay Ram Kaith as senior vice-presidents; Darbari Lal Sargotra, Chaman Lal Lakhotra, Ram Lal Lakhotra, Kamal Singh Kaith, Sat Pal Lakhotra and Sewa Ram Lakhotra as vice-presidents; PL Lakhotra and Rashpal Lakhotra as secretaries; Sub Gandharb Motan, Hakikat Anmol, Chaman Lal Kaith and Ram Dass Kaith as joint secretaries.
Uttam Chand Sandhu and Bishan Lal Tugga were elected as organizing secretaries; Ram Lal Sargotra, Thoru Ram Sandhu and Som Nath Tugga as security secretaries; Shashi Kumar Advocate and Jatinder Lakhotra as law secretaries; Madan Raj Kaith as cultural secretary; Varinder Kaith and Mahesh Bhardwaj as information secretaries; Nand Lal Lakhotra and Harbans Motan as press secretaries; Mukesh Tugga as publicity secretary; and Narayan Dass Bassa and Gurdas Chand Sargotra as auditors.
Thoru Ram Mandi was nominated to act as chief advisor to the executive body while those elected as executive members include Kamal Dass Kaith, Ghasita Ram Lakhotra, Chanan Lal Sandhu, Prem Chand Motan, Rattan Lal Motan, Garu Ram Motan, Harish Bhardwaj, Amarpaul Sandhu, Amar Nath Targotra, Baldev Chand Sargotra, Jagat Ram Sargotra, Bua Ditta Kaith, Punnu Ram Kaith, Tara Chand Sandhu, Padu Ram Lakhotra, Darshan Lal Kaith, Waryam Chand Motan, Bua Ditta Sargotra and Ganga Ram Targotra.
In addition, the Association also elected office-bearers of Youth Development Committee who include Baljeet Kaith as president; Dev Raj Tugga as senior vice president; Janu Kaith as vice-president; Bhawani Lakhotra as general secretary; Suraj Kumar Sargotra as joint secretary; Sunil Dutt Bassa as organizing secretary; Rashpal Nandan as press secretary and Naresh Kaith as Treasurer while as Gari Lal Motan, Kuldeep Lakhotra, Raj Kumar Kaith, Narender Kaith, Mohan Lal Lakhotra and Mahesh Bhardwaj were elected as its members.
