JKB officers donate one day salary for flood relief fund

JAMMU, Sept 12: J&K Bank Officers Association Jammu Unit has announced to contribute one-day salary of all its members to the flood relief fund.
Decision in this regard was taken during an emergency meeting of the Association where  a fervent appeal was made to each member to offer best possible banking services to the people of Jammu & Kashmir at this time of severe crisis.
Expressing solidarity with the Army and Civil administration, the Association offered its help in rescue operations.  It also expressed deep concern for the staff members of J&K Bank who are still struck up in the floods and waiting to be rescued.
Later a delegation comprising of office bearers, led by president Mohan Singh and general secretary Ravi Gupta called on Arvind Gupta, Zonal Head of J&K Bank at Jammu and conveyed the Association decision of donating one day salary.
The delegation also requested Zonal Head to utilize all resources to track and rescue the officers still trapped in flood affected areas of Srinagar.
