JAMMU, Jan 30: The Non-Gazetted Agricultural Graduates Association (NGAGA) has formally announced the merger of the JKATA Working Committee into NGAGA along with the constitution of a newly formed NGAGA Adhoc Executive Working Committee.
The decision was taken in a joint meeting attended by the Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs) Ashwani Sharma, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Sanjay Anand, senior officers of the Agriculture Department, Ex-body of NGAGA, designated body of All J&K Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF), All J&K Agriculture Employees Association Jammu Province and EJAC (R).
The meeting deliberated on organizational restructuring in view of changing service dynamics within the Agriculture Department. It was observed that a significant number of non-gazetted agricultural graduates have been promoted to gazetted positions over time, which has created a representational vacuum at the non-gazetted level. To address this, the house unanimously resolved to dissolve the JKATA Working Committee and realign representation through a stronger, unified platform. Accordingly, the JKATA Working Committee has been formally merged into NGAGA.
This strategic integration aims to consolidate institutional strength, enhance organizational coherence, and provide a unified forum for non-gazetted agricultural graduates. The assembly also endorsed the constitution of a new NGAGA Adhoc Executive Working Committee.
Association has appealed to all concerned departments and authorities to acknowledge the restructuring and extend full cooperation and support to the newly constituted NGAGA Adhoc Working Committee to enable its effective functioning and strengthened role in representing non-gazetted agricultural graduates.
The meeting approved the constitution of a new adhoc executive body of NGAGA.
The newly constituted body comprises, Vinod Kumar Sharma as president, Gurmeet Singh as Chairman, Harmeet Singh as senior vice president, Rajesh Singh Sambyal as vice president and Kamal Sharma as general secretary.
