JAMMU, Jan 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has nominated Anil Sharma, JKAS, Additional Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi, as the nodal officer for coordination and liaison in respect of residents and students from Jammu and Kashmir presently residing or studying in Iran.
As per an order issued by the General Administration Department, the nomination has been made in view of the prevailing situation in Iran.
The officer has been tasked to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, concerned embassies and consular authorities, and other agencies to facilitate information sharing and necessary interventions related to safety, welfare, travel facilitation and other issues concerning J&K residents and students in Iran.
