JAMMU, May 26: Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Language (JKAACL) today released a poetic collection “Gazal Gazal-e-Zindgi” of Sat Pal Misra and published & printed by Monika Graphic Designers, Jammu.
The book was released by renowned Litterateur and President Dogri Sanstha, Dr. Lalit Magotra, at a simple but impressive function here at the K.L. Saigal Hall.
Director Tourism, Jammu, Soujanya Sharma, presided over the function.
In her welcome address, JKAACL Addl. Secretary, Jammu, Savita Bakshi, congratulated Sat Pal Misra, for the release of his book and informed that this was his second book. The first book entitled ‘Jeevan Kariana’ was also released by the Academy.
A critical review on the book was also presented by Dr. Om Goswami, a prominent writer and Sahitya Academy awardee.
In his presidential address, Director Tourism, Sojanaya Sharma hoped that the poetic collection in Dogri will be liked by the readers. He said that Directorate of Tourism, Jammu will take concrete initiatives to promote Dogri culture, folk & cuisine.
Dr. Lalit Magotra hoped that the writer will continue to contribute to the Dogri Literature. Elaborating on the title of the book, he compared the Gazal with day to day life. He appealed Dogras to serve the language for its survival.
Narinder Sharma, Secretary Pradesh Congress (I), Navneet Mishra, State President Press Chamber of India, Shakeel Ahmed, noted advocate, Sunny Dua, Baldev Khullar, Prof. Veena Gupta, N.D Jamwal, Gianeshwar Sharma, Raj Bharti , Om Vidyarathi, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Shiv Dev Sushil were present on the occasion.
