JKAACL organises Multilingual Mushaira

JAMMU, Nov 1: On the eve of National Authors Day 2022, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL organised a Multilingual Mushaira at K.L Saigal Hall.
The event witnessed a multitude of eminent and celebrated poets of varied regional languages of J&K.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Cultural Officer cum Editor (Gojri) delivered the welcome address and the proceedings were carried by Yashpal Nirmal, Assistant Editor (Dogri).
The inaugural session was presided over by Pritpal Singh Betaab, renowned Urdu poet.
Prof. Shalini Rana, Head of English Department at Government Degree College Canal Road, acknowledged the event organised by the Academy to commemorate National Authors Day. Prem Nath Shad, renowned Kashmiri Poet was guest of honour.
Dignitaries who graced the event with their poetic recitals were Ahmed Shanas, Urdu poet; Pyasa Anjum, renowned Punjabi poet; Prof. Vijaya Thakur, established Dogri poet; Baljeet Singh Raina, acclaimed Punjabi poet; Keval Krishan Keval, celebrated Dogri poet; Naseem Akhtar, renowned Gojri poet; Dolly Tickoo, well-known Kashmiri poet; Swami Anter Neerav, prominent Pahari poet; Aruna Sharma, famed Hindi poet; Toyuib Raza Geelani, distinguished Gojri poet and Sanjeev Bhasin, esteemed Hindi poet.
The Mushaira culminated with vote of thanks by Dr. Rattan Bashotra, Editor (Dogri) at the Academy.
