JAMMU, Nov 4: Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing unprecedented development in every sector since PM Narendra Modi took over the reins at Centre. Earlier people of Jammu region were subjected to discrimination due to which Jammu remained neglected in terms of development. People are now witnessing equitable development that stands proved by the development works in every nook and corner of the Union Territory.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat while starting development work of upgradation of pipeline in Sector 5 of Ward No 66, EWS Colony, Lower Roop Nagar with an estimated cost of Rs 4.44 lakh. Meanwhile, Bali Bhagat also started blacktopping work at Sector No 6, Ward No 66, Lower Roop Nagar with an estimated cost of Rs 37 lakhs. Both the works were started in presence of local corporator Tripta Devi and prominent people of both the areas.
The former Minister stated that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government stands committed to the overall development of all the areas so that all the areas move ahead in consonance at par with each other. He said that the Prime Minister is specially inclined towards Jammu and Kashmir and its people and that there is no dearth of funds when it comes to the development of this Union Territory.
He said that the completion of the work of blacktopping of the roads and upgradation of pipeline work started today are undoubtedly going to provide a great relief to the people living and traversing this Ward and its surrounding areas.
The former Minister said that during his tenure of three years in the BJP Government in J&K massive development took place in the erstwhile State including the Raipur Domana constituency.
Corporator Tripta Devi, in her address, said the Jammu Municipal Corporation stands fully committed to augment the development agenda of the Union Government to ease the life of the people of Jammu.
