JAMMU, Mar 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Senior Softball teams (Men and Women) have been selected after a screening process conducted by the J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, Jammu.
The screening committee, led by Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, appointed Padam Dev Singh and Harvinder Singh as the Men’s team coaches, while Rawat Singh and Javeed Ahmad were appointed as coaches for the Women’s team. Sudhir Singh and Yogesh Mahajan have been named the managers for the Men’s and Women’s teams, respectively.
The Men’s Team includes: Jasbir Singh (Captain), Ajay Singh, Ayush Jamwal, Anmol Singh, Sagar Chib, Pardeep Singh, Mohammad Iqbal, Faizan Bashir, Sajad Ahmad, Tahir Ali, Ansh Goswami, Zubair Hamid, Sarbjeet Singh, Aditya, Arif Husain and Sanjay Kumar.
The Women’s Team includes: Gulshan Begum (Captain), Shaista Wani, Nidhi, Safura Altaf, Lavanya Jamwal, Muneera Hassan, Muskan Devi, Saima Fayaz, Bhoomika, Saniya Aashiq, Areesa Mansoor, Afnan Fayaz, Misbah, Farhana, Alankrita Mahajan and Saminah Hussain.
The Senior North Zone Softball Championship (Men and Women) will take place from March 3 to 5 at Fatehgarh Sahab, Punjab. The J&K teams will compete under the banner of the J&K Sports Council and J&K Softball Association.
