RAMBAN, Mar 14: J&K Police here today installed a passenger shed at Champa, Batote under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
The facility was inaugurated by Mohd Shafi, father of Shaheed Constable Sarfaraz Ahmed, in the presence of Shridhar Patil-DIGP, DKR Range.
The passenger shed has been established to provide much-needed shelter and convenience to commuters, particularly senior citizens, students and daily travellers waiting for public transport in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIGP highlighted that the CAP is an important initiative of J&K Police aimed at supporting local communities and addressing their basic needs.
Locals expressed gratitude to the J&K Police for the initiative and appreciated the efforts undertaken for the welfare of the community.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent citizens, staff officers and Private Secretary to the DIGP and others.
