REASI, Apr 13: Hitting out at National Conference and PDP leaders for their oft repeated statements that J&K would cease to be part of India if Articles 370 and 35-A were abrogated, BJP national general secretary and incharge J&K, Ram Madhav said that the State was not part of Indian Union because of the discriminatory Articles but due to the strong Instrument of Accession signed by then ruler of the J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh with India.
While addressing a meeting of BJP workers in Reasi today, in the presence of local leaders including Ajay Nanda, Baldev Raj Sharma and Kuldeep Raj Dubey, Ram Madhav also took a dig at Congress and other opposition parties for saying that BJP was making nationalism an issue during elections. “Nationalism is the basic fundamental and ideology of BJP and the party will stick to it,” he said.

Stressing that BJP will make India terror free, Ram Madhav claimed that today’s situation in the country was such that terrorists were afraid in entering India as they knew that they would not be spared but killed. “There were no terror attacks or bomb blasts as was happening in past in the metropolitan cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi etc. Moreover, there were no communal riots during the five years rule of Narendra Modi Government in the country and peace remained everywhere,” he added.
Maintaining that Narendra Modi gave a transparent Government to the country and there were no scams and corruption cases like past, the BJP leader said that Modi was an incorruptible person and no one could put a finger on him. He further said that BJP was going to people for vote with the report card of five years. “This is the first Government in the country which goes to people with the report card for vote and support. No other party can dare to face people on the basis of its five years performance,” he added.
Madhav said that opposition has no courage to face Narendra Modi and so they tried to forge ‘Maha Gathbandhan’ drama. “Here in J&K they also tried to make same drama after NC, PDP and Congress and others joined hands. However, in Kashmir, they have no such alliance and are fighting the elections separately while in Jammu to defeat BJP they have joined the hands but people will frustrate their designs by voting in favour of the BJP candidate and Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh,” he said and exuded confidence that Modi would become the PM for next term while BJP candidate Jugal Kishore would win by double margin than last time and same he was expecting for Dr Jitendra Singh, the party candidate for Udhampur-Doda constituency.
Earlier BJP senior leader and former Minister Ajay Nanda and Ex MLA Baldev Raj Sharma also addressed the meeting.
