Through a notice issued in this regard, the JKMC has urged all proprietors and Managing Directors of these establishments not to allow any doctor-whether from J&K or outside-to practice, conduct investigations or perform procedures and surgeries without valid registration.
The requisite documentation includes permanent registration or additional qualification registration with the J&K Medical Council, it said.
The Council emphasized that such violations endanger human lives and compromise professional standards.
“This is a serious breach of the Professional Conduct, Etiquette & Ethics Regulations, 2002,” the notice read.
The Council has directed private healthcare operators to ensure that any unregistered doctors working at their facilities apply for registration through the J&K Medical Council’s official website without delay.
Failure to comply with these directives will result in disciplinary action against the concerned medical professionals, the JKMC warned.
It stated that adherence to these rules is necessary to uphold ethical medical practices and safeguard public health.
