JAMMU, Apr 8: The J&K Jatt Sabha today launched its membership drive and appealed to the community to actively participate.
“The Jatt community members above the age of 18 years should participate in the proposed membership drive of the J&K Jatt Sabha with enthusiasm and zeal,” said Manjit Singh, president of Jatt Sabha J&K and former Minister, while addressing a press conference here.
He urged the community to come forward and ensure 100 percent participation in the membership drive.
Manjit Singh further said that once the membership drive is completed, the election process will be initiated to elect new members to the Sabha for its future course of action.
“We have kept the membership fee minimal at Rs 50 per member to ensure maximum participation from the Jatt community,” said former Minister and Chairman of the Membership Committee, Choudhary Sukhnandan.
The press conference was also attended by former DDC and vice president of Jatt Sabha, Taranjit Singh Tonny; spokesperson of the Sabha, Jarnail Choudhary; Kamal Randhawa; Secretary Choudhary Naresh (Bittu); Kamal Choudhary and others.
