JAMMU, Jan 15: During an emergency meeting of the J&K Handicapped Association, agitation calendar was released before all the district office bearers.
Presiding over the meeting, the Association State President Abdul Rashid Bhat said that their legitimate demands have not been resolved by the Government till date. “This shows that the Government has failed to resolve our demands or the Government is deliberately ignoring us,” he added.
During the meeting, Abdul Rashid Bhat made public the Association calendar for pressing the Government to concede their demands. First of all, all the officials will leave for Jammu on January 27, 2026, where they will try to meet members of all the opposition parties as well as members of the current Government. On February 2, protest demonstration will be held at the Press Club Jammu from where a march will be taken out to the Civil Secretariat. On February 3, they will hold a sit-in and march to the Lok Bhawan on February 4. “After this, the sit-in will continue until the Government finds some solution to our problem,” said Mr Bhat.
