JAMMU, Aug 20: As a part of the DFS, GoI led three months’ campaign for saturation of Financial Inclusion Schemes at Gram Panchayat level, J&K Grameen Bank here today organized a Financial Literacy Camp at Gram Panchayat Jaswan, Block Gajansoo, through its Branch Office Gajansoo and Branch Office Kalyanpur.
Regional Director, RBI Jammu, Chandrashekhar Azad was chief guest and the event was also attended by Vibha Gupta, DGM RBI, Sanjay Gupta, Chairman J&K Grameen Bank, officials of Grameen Bank and officials of other banks operating in the region.
The Regional Director, RBI Jammu impressed upon the importance of social security schemes and other financial inclusion schemes for rural population.
He stressed on the need for timely completion of Re-KYC to ensure uninterrupted banking services and also cautioned the public to remain vigilant against digital frauds.
Sanjay Gupta, Chairman highlighted the importance of Financial Inclusion Schemes and emphasized the role of J&K Grameen Bank as a major player in offering these schemes to rural populace of UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh.
During the camp, the participants were sensitized about various Financial Inclusion Schemes, Digital Frauds and Re-KYC through an engaging Nukkad Natak.
On this occasion, claims under PMJJBY and PMSBY were also handed over to beneficiaries.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 200 people.
The Bank had also setup dedicated counters for Social Security Schemes, Re-KYC, grievance redressal to aware the customers.
Vote of thanks was presented by Amit Laira, Special Secretary to the Chairman Grameen Bank.
