JAMMU, Mar 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Works (R&B) Department has issued a warning to the Executive Engineer, PW(R&B) Division Hiranagar, for failing to attend a crucial review meeting on the Tourism Department’s Capex Budget 2024-25. The meeting, chaired by the Administrative Secretary, was held on March 1, 2025, with senior government officials in attendance. Despite prior intimation, the officer remained absent, which was deemed gross negligence of duty. A show-cause notice was issued, but his explanation was found unsatisfactory. The department concluded that his absence reflected a lack of integrity and punctuality, amounting to dereliction of duty. The officer has now been warned to adhere to official obligations, with disciplinary proceedings looming in case of further lapses.
