JAMMU, Dec 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to finalize inputs and comments to be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, on actionable points arising from the Prime Minister’s interaction with the Secretaries to the Government of India held on October 6, 2025.
As per an order issued by the General Administration Department, the committee shall be chaired by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Planning Development and Monitoring Department, with Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Commissioner Secretaries to the Government, General Administration Department and Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, and Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department as Members, and Special Secretary to the Government, Planning Development and Monitoring Department as Member Secretary.
The committee has been tasked with examining consolidate inputs/comments from all departments regarding adoption of a Whole of the Government approach in implementation of initiatives, policies, and schemes involving multiple ministries/ departments, keeping in view the larger national perspective besides analyzing and finalizing departmental inputs on measures aimed at improving Ease of Living of citizens, including sustained efforts towards decriminalization of minor offences.
Assessing gaps with respect to targets to be achieved by 2047 and finalizing inputs on preparation of time-bound roadmaps for achieving the same, scrutinizing, harmonizing, and finalizing inputs/comments received from all Departments regarding all objectionable points of Prime Minister’s interaction with Secretaries to Government of India held on October 6 for onward submission of the same to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is also the mandate of the committee.
