RAMNAGAR, Jan 7: The Jammu & Kashmir Dairy Farmers Association (JKDFA) organized the Pashudhan Awareness Camp – 2026 today at Raja Ram Singh Stadium, Ram Nagar (Udhampur), under the chairmanship of Narinder Singh Bhau and the presidentship of Sandeep Singh Chib.
The programme witnessed an overwhelming response, with the participation of around 500 dairy farmers from different parts of the region.
The camp was graced by Sanjay Gupta, Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Jammu, as the chief guest. He elaborated in detail on various Government schemes for dairy farmers, highlighting financial assistance, animal health services, breed improvement programmes, and livelihood enhancement initiatives. He encouraged farmers to actively avail these schemes and assured them of full cooperation from the department.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Udhampur, Dr Shveta Ambri Khajuria, LDO Tawheed Ahmad, LDO Zafar Iqbal and Dr Anil Kumar also addressed the gathering. They explained various departmental schemes and their practical benefits, including the procedures for availing them.
An interactive session was held wherein farmers openly shared their issues and concerns and received on-the-spot guidance from the department officials, further strengthening farmer–department coordination.
The stage proceedings were conducted by Inderjit Singh Salathia, Spokesperson, JKDFA.
