JAMMU, Feb 2: The Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today was conferred with the 2nd Best Branch Award for the year 2025 at the prestigious World Forum of Accountants (WFA), held at Greater Noida.
The award was presented during ICAI’s 76th Annual Function by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Law and Justice along with Charanjot Singh Nanda, president of ICAI.
The award was received by the Managing Committee of the J&K Branch, led by Sourav Pargal, Chairman, along with Amit Gupta, vice chairman, Jatin Malhotra, secretary, Sanchit Aggarwal, treasurer, executive members, Ayush Sawhney, Ayush Mahajan and ex-Officio, Nitish Kumar Chugh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Pargal expressed gratitude to ICAI and reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening professional development initiatives, member engagement and service to society.
This national-level recognition reflects the consistent hard work, effective teamwork and unwavering commitment of the Managing Committee under the leadership of Sourav Pargal, along with the collective efforts of members and stakeholders who have contributed to the branch’s steady growth and professional excellence.
The achievement reinforces the J&K Branch’s growing stature and its dedication to upholding the highest standards of the Chartered Accountancy profession.
The J&K Branch has been awarded the prize for the second time, amongst 176 branches and 50 overseas chapters of ICAI.
