Agenda for the Executive meeting will be finalized on April 12 during the meeting of J&K BJP Office bearers and Morcha heads at the party headquarters in Jammu, sources added.
The scheduled meeting on April 19 assumes significance as it will be the first formal gathering of all the newly nominated Executive members following the restructuring of the J&K unit of BJP and installation of Sat Sharma as the president.
It may be recalled that following installation of Sat Sharma as the J&K BJP president last year, the party leadership had expanded and reorganised the State Executive Committee reinforcing the organisational framework across Jammu and Kashmir.
The scheduled meeting of the State Executive will be chaired by J&K BJP president Sat Sharma and attended by BJP National General Secretary and Incharge J&K, Tarun Chug as the observer.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh along with MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ghulam Ali Khatana, all MLAs, all the party office bearers, Morcha heads, and Executive members among more than 350 persons will attend the meet, sources said.
Sources indicated that the agenda of the Executive Committee meeting will focus on multiple organisational and political aspects. Key issues expected to be discussed include strengthening booth-level structures, expanding party activities in rural and remote areas, and reviewing the performance of different party wings.
During the meeting, sources said, some key resolutions will be adopted on political, economic and social issues besides chalking out a roadmap for upcoming political challenges and public outreach programmes.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on strategies to further consolidate the party’s base in both the Jammu and Kashmir regions, with special emphasis on youth engagement, women participation, and outreach among marginalized sections.
Discussions may also include preparations for future elections and coordination between the party organisation and elected representatives setting the direction of the party’s policies and programmes at the ground level.
The BJP insiders said that the leadership will also review the implementation of Central Government schemes on the ground and devise mechanisms to effectively communicate these initiatives to the common people. Emphasis is also expected on countering anti-BJP narratives and strengthening the party’s ideological connect with the people, sources added.
According to the sources, the meeting of office bearers at the party headquarters for finalizing the agenda of Executive meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on April 18, which was preponed in view of the special Parliament session on April 16, 17 and 18.
