JAMMU, June 20: Reaffirming its close partnership with the Jammu and Kashmir Government, J&K Bank today renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UT administration to offer enhanced and customised banking services to all permanent Government employees.
The agreement was signed at the Civil Secretariat Jammu by the Bank’s Deputy General Manager Rajesh Dubey and Under Secretary (Finance Department) Trikansh Bhushan in presence of the Bank’s General Manager and Divisional Head (Jammu) Sunit Kumar, Advisor Finance S L Pandita, and Government Liaising Officer Atul Sethi.
As per the MoU, J&K Bank will continue to be the preferred banker for the UT Government, offering employees a wide range of exclusive facilities.
These include zero-balance salary accounts, free international debit cards with add-on cards for spouses, concessional interest rates on home, auto, personal, and education loans, and a Group Personal Accident Insurance cover.
The agreement also includes faster loan approvals through integrated employee data, simplified salary and pension disbursements, and improved service delivery.
On the occasion, the Bank’s General Manager Sunit Kumar thanked the government for reposing trust in the institution.
“This renewed partnership shows the Government’s confidence in our services. We are committed to delivering convenient and personalised financial solutions to every government employee,” he said.
The MoU also includes facilities like waiver of loan processing charges, overdraft limits up to six months’ salary, housing loans up to Rs 10 lakh for home repairs without collateral, and access to digital banking and trading services through JKB Financial Services Limited.
With this renewed agreement, J&K Bank continues to support the financial wellbeing of Government employees across the Union Territory.
