J&K Bank organises awareness prog on ACCS

SRINAGAR, Sept 25: J&K Bank in collaboration with Department of Handicrafts organised an awareness programme on Artisan Credit Cards Scheme (ACCS) in Anantnag.
Bank’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling (FLCC) centre Anantnag conducted the programme in which number of artisans and field staff of the department participated.
In-charge, FLCC, Anantnag, GR Kumar, spoke about ACCS and other related financial products concerning the artisan community.
He apprised the artisans about the role of bankers in financing such schemes as per the requirements of the artisans and markets.
Lead District Manager, GM Mufti, assured the artisans that their needs have been taken care of in the annual credit plan.
Assistant Director, Department of Handicrafts, Head, Branch unit, New Market and SSI Saadiq Abad Anantnag were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, one week training program on “Fruit Preparations and their Preservation”, which was conducted by J&K Bank RSETI, Budgam, in collaboration with Department of Horticulture, Budgam, concluded today.
The programme was sponsored by DRDA Budgam in which 29 candidates belonging to BPL families of the district participated.
LDM Budgam, Mohammad Yaqoob, presided over the valedictory function in which participation certificates were distributed among the trainees.
Director RSETI, Tariq Ali, said that RSETI had already come out with the calendar of trainings for the current year and about 750 youth of the district were scheduled to be trained during the current financial year.
