JK Bank holds financial literacy camp, KCC mela, training programmes

JAMMU, Jan 31: With an objective to familiarize the people living in rural areas about the financial services and banking concepts, J&K Bank FLCC Budgam organized a financial literacy camp at Panzan in Chadoora.
Speaking at the camp Facilitator FLCC Budgam apprised the participants about the details of various products and services offered by banks, need for savings, budgeting and advantages of banking with formal financial institutions.
Addressing the gathering LDM Budgam briefed the participants regarding role of financial institutions in rural areas to eradicate poverty by providing financial support for establishment of micro enterprises while opting for subsidy linked sponsored schemes envisaged in the Annual Action Plan of the District.
Meanwhile the Bank conducted KCC Mela at village Bhatuni in Rajouri.
The programme was organised by the Bank’s B.U at Rajouri Main in collaboration with District Agriculture Department Rajouri and Khidmat Center Bhatuni.
Head B.U Rajouri Main Ravi Sharma explained the technical aspects of KCC scheme to the gathering besides making them aware regarding other schemes of the bank.
The Lead District Manager Rajouri Arvind Kapoor urged the unemployed youth to avail the relevant schemes of the Bank and start their own ventures to generate employment for themselves as well as for others.
D S Manhas Agriculture Extension Officer, Muradpur Rajouri was also present on the occasion.
The FLCC Baramulla attended an awareness camp organized by Urban Development Agency Kashmir through NGO Al-Amin Blood Bank at Lagama in Uri.
Lead District Manager Baramulla deliberated upon the role of Lead Bank in ensuring participation of banks and line departments for hassle free flow of credit to all the sectors of the economy thus helping in eradication of unemployment and poverty in the community.
The Bank’s RSETI Pulwama concluded two skill development programmes on Crewel Embroidery and Sheep Rearing.
While distributing the Certificate of Participation among the participants, Director RSETI advised the trainees to take advantage of the Bank products and services and establish their own ventures for honourable livelihood.
Meanwhile, RSETI Bandipora concluded five training programmes at the institute, out of which three were on Dress Designing, one in Sewing Machine Repairing and one in Mobile Phone Repairing.
