J&K Bank gives ray of hope to destitute children

JAMMU, Nov 1: J&K Bank has created huge supporting infrastructure at Balgran, Channi Rama, Jammu, in its endeavour to provide much needed support towards the education and welfare of the destitute children.
In a meeting of the trustees and patrons of Balgran-a charitable home for destitute children, honorary secretary, VK Raina, told the house that J&K Bank has brought a ray of hope into the lives of destitute children by providing much needed supporting infrastructure, which include Dormitory for girls, Gymnasium, Genset, smart classrooms, sports goods etc.
Raina told trustees and patrons that various development works such as maintenance of park for children have been carried out by the bank in Balgran. “Moreover, the Bank is providing scholarship to the meritorious students for pursuing professional courses not only within India but also abroad. It has also organized various function during the calendar year and also paying stipend to outstanding students of the Charitable Home”, he added.
Stating that J&K Bank has sets an example of a responsible organization with a strong sense of giving back to the society, Raina hoped that the organization will keeping giving wings to the dreams of the children by one or other way.
