The Two-Wheeler segment registered a 22.02% growth with 15,775 units sold (12,928 in October 2024), while Passenger Vehicles surged 36.41% to 8,838 units (6,479 units last year).
Commercial Vehicles grew 31.90% at 951 units, and Three-Wheelers increased by 5.36% to 1,495 units. The Tractor category also saw a rise of 14.46% with 380 units sold.
However, the Construction Equipment segment dipped 18.18% to 27 units.
FADA J&K Chairperson Sanjay Aggarwal hailed October 2025 as a “landmark month for auto retail in J&K,” attributing the growth to reforms, festivities and rural revival.
“The introduction of GST 2.0 proved transformational, lowering small-car GST rates made vehicle ownership more attainable, especially for first-time buyers,” he said.
Aggarwal added that the overlap of Dussehra and Diwali, along with the rollout of GST 2.0, spurred record enquiries and conversions, with overall festive season growth touching 29.16%.
He projected a positive outlook for the coming months, citing festive spillover bookings, steady rural income and wedding season demand as key growth drivers.
