JAMMU, Jan 7: In J&K for December 2025, the 2-Wheeler category witnessed a growth of 41.86 percent at 4,717 units in December 2025, as compared to 3,325 units in December 2024.
The 3-category witnessed a growth of 11.40 per cent at 1,046 units in December 2025, as compared to 939 units in December 2024. The Commercial Wheeler category witnessed a growth of 46.46 per cent at 1,056 units in December 2025, as compared to 721 units in December 2024. The Construction Equipment category witnessed a downfall of -36.36 per cent at 28 units in December 2025, as compared to 44 units in December 2024. The Passenger Vehicle category witnessed a Growth of 43.96 per cent at 6,871 units in December 2025, as compared to 4,773 units in December 2024. The Tractor Vehicle category witnessed a downfall of -11.49 per cent at 308 units in December 2025, as compared to 348 units in December 2024.
In J&K total retail is 14,026 in December 2025 as compared to10,150 in December 2024 thereby registering a growth of 38.19 per cent YoY.
Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson, Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations Jammu said that reflecting on December 2025 Auto Retail performance in J&K, December 2025 showed a remarkable closing with a growth of 38.19 per cent YoY.
Aggarwal said that, December’25 proved to be a strong finish to the calendar year for auto retail in J&K.
He said that, as we move into the new calendar year, the auto retail ecosystem in J&K remains hopeful. With improving supply chains, stable policy support and growing consumer awareness, FADA expects gradual and sustainable growth, provided economic conditions and credit availability remain supportive.
Aggarwal said that, Comparing CY’25 with CY’24 J&K showed a growth of 6.07 per cent.
A handout stated that in J&K, for CY 2025, the 2-Wheeler category witnessed a growth of 5.89 per cent at 98,527 units in CY 2025, as compared to 93,044 units in CY 2024. The 3-category witnessed a downfall of -4.77 per cent. The Commercial Wheeler category witnessed a downfall of -7.08 per cent. The Construction Equipment category witnessed a downfall of -25.09 per cent. The Passenger Vehicle category witnessed a Growth of 11.98 per cent. The Tractor Vehicle category witnessed a growth of 3.98 per cent.
In J&K total retail is 1,90,165 in CY 2025 as compared to1,79,275 in CY 2024 thereby registering a growth of 6.07 per cent YoY.
