Jammu, Dec 24: Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday filed the chargesheet against a businessman in a bribery case filed against him by former Superintendent of Police, Jammu South.
The ACB spokesman said that J&KAnti Corruption Bureau filed the charge-sheet before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu against Chander Sekhar Vohra, proprietor of M/s Asian Associates, for offering bribe to the Superintendent of Police, City South, Jammu, for seeking undue favour in connection with extension of the date of exhibition cum sale at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The then Superintendent of Police, City South, Jammu, in her complaint alleged that the businessman approached her offering a bribe of Rs 30,000 to get an extension for the exhibition-cum-sale event at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu
“The bribe money was also recovered and seized on the spot in the presence of independent witnesses,” he said.
He added that after the completion of investigation of the case as proved and the charge-sheet has been filed against the accused in the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu for judicial determination.
