JJSF begins 3-day fast as tribute to student martyrs

JAMMU, Oct 16: To observe `Martyr Days’ and pay tribute to the student martyrs of 1966 Agitation, who had sacrificed their lives while fighting against the decision of shifting Agriculture College from Jammu to Srinagar, Jammu Joint Students Federation today began its three-day fast at Shaheedi Sthal in front of GGM Science College, Jammu.
Those observing fast, include Keshav Malhotra, Bharat Verma, Ritik Verma and Vishal Kumar. A number of students assembled at the venue and recalled the supreme sacrifice of martyr students.
Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Principal GGM Science College Jammu; Surinder Kumar, Principal SPMR College of Commerce; Dr Vinod Bakshi, Physical Director GGM Science College along with the staff of their college visited the Memorial to pay homage to student martyrs and showered their blessings on the fast observing JJSF activists.
Among those, who addressed on the occasion, included JJSF President Pushvinder Singh, Vice President Atul, Raghav Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Manish Khullar, Vansh Sharma, Raman Khajuria, Samaksh Sharma, Rohan Sindhu, Karan Kumar, Gourav Sharma, Aryan Sharma and others.
