JAMMU, Jan 18: The degree and diploma junior engineers of the Power Development Department (PDD) discussed their issues at PDD Guest House Gladini, Narwal here today.
The junior engineers under the banner of J&K Junior Engineers Forum assembled here and discussed in details the problems being faced by them. Various speakers discussed the issue related to pay anomalies, field travel allowance, registration of FIRs against some JEs, uncertainly prevailing over their career with the unbundled structure of PDD, unjustified attachments of JEs and problems being faced by JEs sent on deputation out side.
It was unanimously resolved to frame a Forum of Junior Engineers to take up the issues of the JEs with the concerned authorities forcefully, without the prejudice to the work of existing Diploma and Degree Associations.
