JAMMU, Aug 6: Jammu Development Authority (JDA), in close coordination with the District Administration, successfully carried out an anti-encroachment drive at Khasra Number 1080, Paloura, measuring 23 Kanal 13 Marla of prime Government land from unlawful occupation.
The land parcel, under the legal ownership and jurisdiction of JDA, had been illegally encroached upon by private individuals who falsely claimed proprietary rights. Despite being formally directed on August 4, 2025, to cease all unauthorised activities, the encroachers proceeded to construct a boundary wall under the cover of odd hours, in blatant defiance of JDA’s instructions and prevailing laws.
Taking serious cognizance of the deliberate violation, VC JDA Rupesh Kumar mobilized a well-coordinated enforcement operation with support from the District Administration and local police. During the operation, the illegal boundary wall was dismantled, and the entire land parcel was restored to JDA’s possession without any law-and-order issues.
