JDA removes encroachments

JAMMU, Dec 18: The enforcement wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) removed unauthorized encroachments by illegal reharis, pharis, hawkers, fruit vendors on footpaths and road side pavements.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted on the directions of VC JDA Mubarak Singh by Gurvinderjeet Singh Director Land Management JDA, Narinder Singh Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Pankaj Singh Sambyal Khilafwarzi Officer, Romesh Kumar Khilafwarzi Inspector and field staff.
During the anti encroachment drive in Shiv Market, Ravi-Tawi Canal RHC, Shopping Complex, the team removed the unauthorized reharis, big/small hoardings, banners and sale items displayed on road side which were prone to road accidents and creating traffic hazards were removed.
President Shri Vishwa Mittar Gupta and Senior Vice President Rajinder Parshad of RHC Shiv Market Shopping Complex Association extended full support to the Enforcement Wing.
They have been requested to cooperate with JDA for maintaining JDA market neat and clean, free from encroachments and also aware and desist their fellow shopkeepers not to display their business items on road sides/pavements and avoid idle vehicle parking on main market roads, as it causes obstructions to general public, pilgrims, tourists in the surrounding area of Rail Head Comple as strict action will be taken against such violators under law.
