JDA removes encroachments

JAMMU, Oct 27: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) removed encroachments from the footpaths in front of Jammu Railway Station and Rail Head Complex.
According to official spokesperson, on the directions of Vice Chairman JDA, the enforcement wing of JDA in a joint operation with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Police removed the unauthorized fruit venders, rehries, who had occupied the pavements of Jammu Railway Station and Rail Head Complex and causing hindrance in the free flow of traffic movement and hardship to the pedestrians, tourist and pilgrims.
The anti-encroachment drive was carried out by the team headed by Gurvinderjeet Singh, Director Land Management, JDA and comprising of Narinder Singh, Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Pankaj Singh Sambyal, Khilafwarzi Officer, Romesh Kumar, Balbir Singh and Naresh Kumar, Khilafwarzi Inspectors and field staff.
The team removed the rehries, big and small hoardings and banners erected on road sides.
