JAMMU, June 24: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) removed encroachment from one kilometer area on the main road of Rajinder Nagar Housing Colony, Phase Ist, Bantalab.
The encroachers had installed vegetables/fruits reharis on the both side of the main road Rajinder Nagar Housing Colony, Phase 1st Bantalab and also demarcated shop sites by fixing of stones on the spot during odd hours and developed unauthorized market by more than 130 encroachers which was immediately removed by the enforcement wing of JDA.
Enforcement team under the supervision of Gurvinderjeet Singh Director Land Management JDA and comprising of Narinder Singh Chief Khilafwarzi Officer and Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Parshotam Kumar, Renu Devi and Buti Singh Khilafwarzi Inspectors and gangmen carried out the anti-encroachment drive even though there was stiff resistance from the people.
The drive was carried out on the directions of Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority Mubarak Singh.
In an-other drive in compliance to the directions of Supreme Court of India five small hoardings/banners which were installed on the road berms and creating hurdles/obstructions were removed from the main road of Janipura-Amb-Gharota Road.
