JAMMU, July 10: In a continued effort to uphold land use regulations and prevent unauthorized constructions, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), in coordination with the District Administration, today carried out a demolition drive in Gole area of Jammu City.
During the drive, four illegally constructed plinths were identified and demolished in Khasra No. 746. These structures were found to be in clear violation of the Jammu Master Plan and without the requisite permissions from the competent authority.
The operation was carried out smoothly with adequate deployment of enforcement staff and police personnel to ensure law and order. The JDA officials reiterated that strict action will continue against encroachments and illegal constructions, and urged the public to seek proper approvals before initiating any development activities.
The Jammu Development Authority remains committed to maintaining the planned development of the region and ensuring that encroachments do not compromise public infrastructure and land resources, an official said.
