JAMMU, Apr 16: A Jammu Development Authority (JDA) employee was killed while his colleague was seriously injured when the Maruti car they were traveling in collided with a truck near Nandni on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, JDA employees namely 45-year-old Arun Kumar, son of Sewa Ram of Kothey Saler, RS Pura and Ashok Kumar, son of Mela Ram of Link Road, Jammu were seriously injured when the Maruti car they were traveling in collided with a truck near Nandni on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospital, where after preliminary treatment, the duo was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Arun Kumar as brought dead.
The injured was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
