JAMMU, Oct 15: Anti-encroachment drive was carried out on the instructions of Divisional Commissioner Jammu in Transport Nagar, today.
The Vice Chairperson, JDA had deputed Director Land Management, Superintending Engineer, Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Teshildar, AEE, JE and other allied staff who carried out the drive. Canes and earthmovers were used to clear the encroachment on the main roads.
The office bearers and members of Transport Nagar Welfare Association represented by Sarabjeet Singh, president also coordinated with JDA officials and police.
The main road of yard number seven was cleared off with several major encroachments. This drive was started yesterday and will continue for a week.
