JAMMU, Apr 12: Atul Mahajan of Balaji Traders was elected as the president of Jammu Computer Dealer Association (JCDA), for which the elections were held here today.
The elections were also held for the various positions and its new executive body, for the next two years.
JCDA is the apex body representing business owners dealing in computers, office automation and other IT products and services in Jammu.
The new elected team includes R C Sharma of Aar Gee Traders as vice president, Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma of Aarya Technology Ventures as general secretary, S Jatinder Singh of Royal Infotech as organizing secretary and S Gurpreet Singh of Duke Computers as treasurer of the association.
Speaking on the occasion, the outgoing president Sandeep Malhotra informed the august gathering about various achievements of the association during his presidency.
The new team was announced by the election commissioners after conclusion of a keenly fought election for the president and organizing secretary, while the three other office bearers were elected unopposed.
The certificates were issued by two election commissioners Dr Adit Gupta and Rakesh Badyal.
In his address, the new president, Atul Mahajan thanked all the members of the association for their unconditional support and promised to work tirelessly for the common goals of the association.
He expressed hope that during his tenure more business owners will join JCDA and help the community to manage its affairs in a better manner.
Both the election commissioners were felicitated by Naveen Gupta, treasurer FAAITA for conducting a highly successful election.
The proceedings were conducted by Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma.
