JAMMU, Nov 5: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir State Government Employee Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) met the BJP State general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul here today and took up the issues of the employees.
Led by provincial presidents Balwinder Singh and Ganesh Khajuria, the JCC members called on the senior BJP leader and submitted a memorandum containing their demands and sought the intervention of the party in getting the same fulfilled. The deputation comprised of the representatives from PDD, Education, PHE, PWD, Forest, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture Departments, PSUs and All Departments Clerical Union.
Through the memorandum, they put forth demands like implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of the J&K Govt and PSU employees without any delay; removal of pay anomalies of clerical staff and old pay scale 6500-10500 of employees working in Education, Agriculture, Horticulture and other departments; to frame the policy of regularization of casual labours, need based workers, who are working since 1994 in different departments; enhance their wages @ Rs 350 per day as per the Central Government decision; enhancement in Medical allowance from Rs 300 to 2000; to frame a policy of uniform house rent allowance or dislocation allowance for those employees who are transferred from urban area to rural or far-flung areas; implementation of the Medi-Claim Policy in favour of the Non- Gazetted employees and PSU employees; that a high rate of interest is being charged from the J&K State Govt employees on account of the personal consumer loan.
They pleaded for a uniform rate of interest on the PCL in favour of State Govt employees at par with the employees of J&K Banks, to stream line, extend and grant all the benefits in favour of the PSU employees at par with the State Government employee in all respect including Cola in to DA.
Mr Kaul gave a patient hearing and assured to take up their genuine demands with the Government.
