JCB plunges into gorge, 3 killed

KISHTWAR, July 22: In a tragic road accident here today, a JCB vehicle skidded off the road and landed in a deep gorge at Sounder Dachan area leaving all the three persons onboard dead on the spot.

Reports claimed that driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a sharp curve and lost control over the wheels after which the vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
Immediately after the accident, locals of the area and Police started an operation and retrieved the dead bodies and shifted them to hospital for postmortem.
The deceased were identified as Nazir Hussain, 22, son of Saiye, resident of Khatasoo Bhalessa; Ishaq, 26, son of Faroozdin, resident of Khatasoo Bhalessa and Majeed, 28, resident of Bhalessa.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh has expressed shock over the tragic loss of three lives in the accident.
In a post on social media platform X, he wrote: “Saddened to learn from DC Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma that a JCB has slipped down in the Dachhan area resulting in the death of all the three occupants.”
He expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and said that all possible help is being offered by the administration.
