JAMMU, May 18: Social activist, Jayesh Gupta has appealed the Union Government to take prompt measures to expel illegal immigrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh currently residing in Jammu and Kashmir, who are significant security risks posed to the nation.
During a press conference here, today, Gupta stressed that the presence of these unauthorized immigrants poses a considerable threat to national security, especially in a sensitive area like Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the Government to undertake immediate and resolute actions akin to the recent deportation initiatives executed by the United States, which involved the repatriation of numerous illegal immigrants, including individuals of Indian heritage.
