Jat Mahasabha president tours Hiranagar villages

JAMMU, Aug 21: All India Jat Mahasabha, J&K President, Ch Manmohan Singh conducted tour of several villages of Hiranagar tehsil and interacted with the locals to assess their problems.
The people of village Chhan Khatriyan apprised Ch Manmohan Singh about shortage of water for agricultural activities, adding due to shortage of water in Ravi Tawi canal agricultural input may come down drastically.
Ch Manmohan Singh assured them to take up the issue with the concerned authorities for redressal of people’s grievances. Later, he met Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary and apprised him of people’s problems. The Minister passed necessary directions to the concerned Chief Engineer with the assurance that people will shortly get respite from water shortage.
During meeting with the Minister, Ch Manmohan Singh was accompanied by Ch Nanak Singh, Mukhtiar Singh, Ajeet Singh, Puran Chand, Mulkh Raj, Balwant Singh, Ravi Singh, Ashok Singh, Sham Singh, Wani Singh, Tarsem Lal, Surjeet Singh and Jodh Singh.
