JASROTA, Jan 16: Under Central Government’s prestigious flagship programme “Jal Jeevan Mission” MLA Jasrota Rajiv Jasrotia laid the foundation stone of the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) at Panchayat Borthain South, here today.
The project, estimated to cost Rs 10 crore, will include 500000-gallon capacity Rapid Sand filtration plant and Reservoirs aiming to benefit a population of around 15000 souls of Panchayat.
With the commencement of this project, the water shortage issue in the area is expected to be mitigated to a considerable extent.
Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia said, “The Water Supply Scheme was the long pending demand of the area and asserted that the project will be completed within the set deadline. The Union Government is working on a mission mode taking along the aspirations of the locals to secure for them a prosperous life where all the demands are fulfilled in a time bound manner.”
The gathering was also addressed by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh through virtual mode.
The residents of the area thanked PMO and MLA for laying the foundation stone of this water supply scheme for them.
MLA Jasrota Rajiv Jasrotia was accompanied by PHE XEn, AEE, Mandal Pradhan Jasrota Balwant Singh, Sarpanch Shiv Dev Singh, Bhavishan Sharma , Randeep Singh Pappy, Sarpanch Kumar Manglam, Sarpanch Prithpal Singh, Sarpanch Raj Kumar, Panch Vinod Kumar, Ravi Abrol, Co – Convenor BJP Refugee Cell Vidya Sagar , Nagri Municipal Committee Chairman Anil Singh, Sardari Singh, Gandharb, Saddam Hussain and Mandal Pradhan Logate Mandal Surinder Singh.
