KATHUA, Mar 10: Giving momentum to the development activities in Kathua Constituency, MLA, Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated black topping work of Kalibari Road to Bridge including Govindsar Railway Road and Barwal, Budhi, at the cost of Rs 1.36 crore.
While speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia said that the road from DC office via Mukhrjee Chowk to Hatli Morh with cost Rs 3.78 crore, road from Degree College to Dream Land Park via Capt Sunil Choudary Chowk with cost Rs 2 crore, District Hospital back side road with cost 50 lakh, balance portion of Road from Nagri to Palli with cost 1.20 crore, roads of Logate, Sahar, Uttari and Kathera with cost Rs 3.10 crore and roads of Bagial Nihalpur with cost Rs 67 lakh shall be completed before May.
He said that the financial package announced by the Central Government for the development of the State which includes works pertaining to improvement of roads, National and State highways, electricity, water supply, education sector, health sector so on, shows the commitment of the BJP led Central Government towards development of J&K.
The MLA further said that the works which have been stalled due to negligent attitude of the previous NC-Congress Government have been taken up on priority and the people of Kathua will see a massive infrastructural change in the coming time and witness positive developments like flyovers for the city, tourist spots for special tourist attractions, model Bus Stand and Railway Station, and upgraded parking facilities.
Jasrotia said that this time no compromise will be done with the quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution. “I myself will supervise the work so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. The life of the roads is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily”, he added.
