JAMMU, July 18: To redress the problems of the people living in far-flung areas, MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia along with officers/officials of different Government departments today convened a mega public darbar, grievance redressal camp at village Juthana of Jasrota constituency.
The public darbar witnessed an overwhelming turnout of people from diverse areas and backgrounds, who came forward to voice their civic and administrative issues. A wide cross-section of citizens, including senior citizens, youth, women and representatives from various localities, approached the MLA with issues ranging from water and electricity supply, lane and road repairs, sanitation, pension, ration, police, and other public welfare matters.
The concerns raised also included problems related to pension schemes, financial assistance and other welfare programs. Many individuals expressed difficulties in receiving their pensions on time, citing delays and bureaucratic hurdles. Some people sought assistance with financial aid programmes, highlighting the need for more effective implementation and awareness about these schemes. Locals also raised concerns about the effectiveness of various welfare programmes, suggesting improvements to better serve the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia conveyed his strong commitment to ensuring that the Social Welfare Department addresses the concerns raised by our citizens. He instructed the officials to look into these issues and work towards resolving them in a timely manner. “We will strive to improve the implementation of welfare programs and ensure that our citizens receive the benefits they are entitled to, said Jasrotia.”The MLA’s commitment to addressing these issues has brought relief to the citizens of constituency.
Jasrotia personally took note of every concern raised and immediately communicated several issues to the concerned departments, both verbally and through written directives, while pressing for the immediate remedial measures. He reiterated the commitment of the BJP to address the public issues at the grass root level. He said that while the public faces routine issues related to their daily chores, they also come across various other issues that require the intervention of specific Government departments for the prompt resolution of the issues.
He said that for the diverse range of public issues, they need to get connected to a medium, which is provided by the BJP through these public darbars, which are held on routine basis to facilitate the masses on an open basis.
