JAMMU, June 1: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Janipur area here today claimed to have cracked a firing incident case within 24 hours of the crime.
As per a police official, the incident took place early this morning when Rajinder Singh, a resident of Paloura, lodged a complaint alleging an attempt on his life by unidentified persons.
Based on the complaint, he said, an FIR number 78/2025 under sections 109/3(5) BNS, 3/25, 5(9) of the Arms Act was registered at Police Station Janipur.
Accordingly, he said, a dedicated team, led by the Station House Officer Janipur, Inspector Vikram Sharma, used technical tools, CCTV footage, and human intelligence to trace the suspects.
Their efforts led to the arrest of two individuals-Rohit Singh and Veer Manhas-both residents of Paloura, Jammu, he said.
A Bolero vehicle used in the crime, bearing registration number JK02AX-5688, was also seized, added the police official.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, he said.
