JAMMU, Dec 22: Lawn tennis sensation Rujula Dubey, daughter of Vishal Dubey and Sunita Goswami of Jammu, brought laurels to her family and school (Shiv Nadar School, Noida) by winning two gold medals at Uttar Pradesh State Lawn Tennis Championship held in Ayodhya. Representing the Meerut division, Rujula triumphed in both the singles and doubles categories.
The championship took place at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar International Stadium from December 16-17, 2025. In the singles final, Rujula defeated Abir Bhati of the same district convincingly with a 6-0 scoreline. In the doubles competition, she paired with Abir Bhati to overcome the duo of Aadhya and Raminder 6-3 to secure another gold medal.
Currently residing at Amrapali Sapphire Society, Sector 45, Noida, Rujula has been honing her skills under coaches Chandra Bhushan and Jitender, who praised her remarkable performance. Coach Chandra Bhushan remarked that Rujula’s achievement is a matter of pride for her school, family, and district, reflecting her dedication, talent, and sportsmanship at the state level.
Her exceptional display has set high expectations for future tournaments and promises a bright career in lawn tennis.
